A self-taught artist with no formal training, Jared DuCote has transformed a lifelong passion into a thriving career, creating remarkably lifelike paintings and drawings for clients and organizations across North America. Jared’s artistic journey began in his father’s sign shop, where he spent countless hours sketching and painting while his dad worked. What started as an after-school hobby evolved into a refined talent through years of dedication and hands-on practice.
Although art was always a part of his life, it wasn’t until he met his wife, Alicia, that he began to pursue it professionally. With her encouragement, Jared took the leap—turning his dream into a full-time reality.
A lifelong supporter of conservation, Jared is an Eagle Scout and long-time Ducks Unlimited advocate. His artistic talents have been recognized on a national level, earning a place in the Ducks Unlimited National Art Package in 2020, 2024, and 2025, and being named the 2024 Ducks Unlimited Artist of the Year. He has since been featured as the official artist at multiple state conventions, including Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Florida, as well as at several national events.
Jared’s work has been featured on Florida’s Ducks Unlimited license plate and in collaborations with top outdoor brands like Gunner Kennels, Wren & Ivy, Chene, and Over Under Clothing. His portfolio also includes projects for Safari Club International, Dallas Safari Club, Livingston Lures, Skeeter Boats, and the Coastal Conservation Association.
In addition to wildlife, Jared has a deep love for painting people and enjoys creating custom fishing lure designs and replicas alongside his father—a shared craft that keeps them connected and inspired. Jared credits much of his artistic ambition to the influence of his mentor, the late Jim Killen, and strives to follow in his footsteps as one of the country’s premier outdoor artists.
